Director along with TC has defined a policy for use of certification mark and circulated to all certified Clients through Certification Agreement.

RESTRICTIONS ON CERTIFICATION USE

The certification mark shall not be used under the following conditions:

  • Product Conformity Misrepresentation: The mark must not be used on a product, product packaging visible to the consumer, or in any other manner that could be interpreted as signifying product conformity (i.e., suggesting the certified entity's product itself is certified).
  • Application to Reports: The mark must not be applied to laboratory test, calibration, or inspection reports, as these documents are considered "products" within the context of this certification's use restrictions.
  • The accreditation mark cannot be used by the Client in any manner.

CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL CERTIFIED CLIENTS

Following are the conditions applicable to all certified clients of UCMPL:

  • Does not use or permit the misleading use of any certification document or any part thereof in a misleading manner.
  • Ceases all use of advertising materials that reference certification upon suspension or withdrawal of its certification.
  • Updates all advertising materials when there is a reduction in the scope of certification.
  • Ensures that references to its management system certification do not imply that UCMPL certifies a product (including services) or process.
  • Does not suggest that the certification covers activities outside the certified scope.
  • Avoids using its certification in a way that could damage UCMPL or the certification system's reputation and public trust.
